Fit & hold guide: which CurlBand for your hair?
Fine or thin hair
Go with the Short length of the Classic or the Blowout. It's slightly narrower, so it wraps snug and stays put. Want texture instead of bounce? The BeachWave is thinner, so your hair wraps around it more times for beachy waves with more definition, and it sets faster.
Medium hair
Short to medium hair: pick the Short length. Medium to long hair: pick the Long length. The Classic gives soft, bouncy everyday curls. The Blowout gives bigger, fuller blowout-style volume.
Thick or long hair
Pick the Long length. It's the fuller design, made for longer layers and thicker hair. The Blowout Long is our biggest band for maximum volume and bounce.
Tips for curls that last
- Start with totally dry or lightly misted hair. Our Fine Mist Spray Bottle gives just enough.
- Wrap tighter for more defined curls, looser for a softer wave.
- Secure the ends with a silk scrunchie, then sleep on it.
- Unwrap in the morning and go. Curls last all day, and many of you say they relax into soft waves over the next few days.
CurlBand™ FAQ
Do I wrap wet hair or dry hair?
Wrap dry or slightly misted hair. If your hair is fully dry, mist each section lightly with water or a leave-in spray as you wrap. Hair that is too wet may not finish drying overnight, and the curl can drop.
How long do I wear my CurlBand™?
Overnight is easiest: wrap before bed and unwrap in the morning. For a daytime set, wear it for at least 4 to 6 hours. Longer wear gives a more defined curl.
How long do the curls last?
Curls last all day, and many customers say they relax into soft waves over the next few days.
Does it work on fine hair?
Yes. Use smaller sections, wrap snugly, and add a light mousse or texture spray before you wrap. Fine hair sets fast, so slightly misted (not wet) works best.
Does it work on short hair?
If your hair reaches your shoulders, choose the Short size. Start wrapping right at the hairline and use small sections so the ends reach the band. Shorter lengths give a soft bend and lots of volume.
